I'm joining pals Sarah and Elizabeth to write every day in the month of December, feel free to join in any time! Today's prompt: Favorite things. Tell us about your favorite things from this year. Are they new discoveries or things you’ve always loved?

Oh boy, I have lots of favorite things. I live very steadfastly in my current moment, so pretty much everything I encounter that I like becomes a favorite thing, at least for a little while. I think one of the sayings I utter the most is "That's my favorite!"

For example...

Brunch! That's my favorite!

Letting things go. That's my favorite!

Candy corn! That's my favorite!

Walks with Levi. That's my favorite!

Lululemon! That's my favorite!

BodyAttack! That's my favorite!

Costco Cake! That's my favorite!

Working from home. That's my favorite!

BACON!!!! THAT'S MY FAVORITE!

Instead of writing a novel about my favorites this year, which are too numerous to even recall, I give you the favorites of my favorites that were discovered in the year 2015, but not before, and have endured since:

1. Netflix, and the ensuing program binges (January)

2. PMS Brownies by Brittany Angell (February)

3. Key West Aloe, Aloethera Intensive Body Moisturizer and lip balm (Key West, April)

4. Dominos, the classic game - seriously I had never played before (May)

5. Coconut Milk Ice Cream, specifically the Salted Caramel flavor (June)

6. Adult Coloring, complete with crayola colored pencils (July)

7. Solidcore -> I wrote a little something on this (August)

8. Turkey Apple Chili -> with A LOT of jalapenos (October)

9. New Zealand, the entire country (October/November)

10. Flat Whites (New Zealand, November) -> loving the Holiday blend flat white at Starbucks right now!
