White Elephant: What are the gifts you’re looking forward to giving, or hoping to receive?

I try to always respect and acknowledge through action the love languages of others. But when it comes to what I prefer to give and receive as gifts, the answer is always related to my love language: quality time.

Certainly there are material things that I desire and would be happy to receive as a gift. But I'm not moved by those things. My heart shifts and I fall deeper and deeper in love with life when I get to spend time with the people I love.

So the things I love to give are dinner parties, treating social meals out, movie/concert tickets, and trips. Because these are all ways that I get to spend quality time with people. And those are the things that I love to receive also. It's intangible, and possibly the most precious thing that a human has to give to another, because it is the only thing that is truly limited. Time.
